On social media, the NFL player’s video footage has gone viral.
A never-before-seen video of Patrick Mahomes making a game-winning basket as a ๐ค๐ฉ๐ช๐ญ๐ฅ was released.
The video indicates that the 28-year-old quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs has always had a strong arm.
The video was grainy as Mahomes wore a yellow jersey with few bystanders there for the game.
He dribbled the ball before chucking up a long throw that found its way into the basket.
The youngster Mahomes and his teammates celebrated instantly after the shot.
Mahomes is seen briefly putting up his arms before the video ends.
The three-time MVPย Mahomesย is, of course, known for his football abilities and even his baseball background.
He played college football and baseball during his time at Texas Tech.
But Mahomes also played basketball during his youth, and a clip went viral of his past s๐๐พ๐๐s on the hardwood floor.
The Chiefs posted a clip onย X, formerly known as Twitter, of a young Mahomes making a game-winning shot.
The X clip has been viewed more than 355,000 times as fans shared their reactions to the futureย NFLย star’s throw.
“Kid was ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ง to be a star athlete,” one wrote.
“Hitting game-winner all his life,” a second stated.
“That’s my goat,” a third commented.
Mahomes got his athletic genes and throwing abilities from his father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., who played in theย MLBย for 11 seasons.
During high school baseball, Patrick pitched a no-hitter and struck out 16 batters.
But Mahomes wouldn’t follow in his dad’s footsteps and would instead take his talents to the football field.
He left the sport of baseball ahead of his junior year in college to focus on football instead.
Mahomes’ decision paid off as he recorded 41 touchdowns in 2016.
The signal-caller was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Mahomes won his first Super Bowl in the 2019-20 season and eventually signed a 10-year deal worth up to $503 million.
He has won three MVP awards in his career and has won two straight Super Bowls.
