The 18-year-old shared several photos from the special day on Instagram
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ daughter is officially a high school graduate.
The rapper’s daughter, Chance Combs, 18, raved about the special occasion in an Instagram post on Saturday, June 2.
“This is just the beginning💙✨,” the new graduate wrote in the caption of her post, adding photos from the milestone event.
Chance shared a variety of pictures, including a solo shot of herself holding her high school diploma, one of her smiling with her mother Sarah Chapman, who held both of her arms up in celebration, and another of her and older brother Christian “King” Combs, 26, in a sweet embrace.
Last December, Chance shared that she was accepted into NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts as a member of the class of 2028 in a video on her Instagram Stories.
The aspiring performer also shared photos of her posting at the esteemed university and wrote: “NYU! Dreams do come true!!”
Chapman, 44, shared an emotional tribute to her daughter on Instagram following her graduation ceremony. She wrote, “You are my joy! Congratulations Chance! Your independence, hard work, being a go-getter, never following the crowd, ability to stand alone makes me so proud.”
She continued to praise her daughter for being “humble, strong, intelligent, and kind.” Confirming Chance’s college choice, she wrote, “NYU-let’s goooo.”
Chance’s brother also weighed in and shared a post featuring a set of images of them at the graduation. “Congratulations @myfancychance !!! Can’t believe you Graduating !! I love you & I Got you forever,” Christian wrote.
Diddy, who currently has several abuse and 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking allegations levied against him, was seemingly absent from the graduation.
In April 2023, the “Coming Home” rapper’s ex Cassie Ventura accused him of rape, 𝓈ℯ𝓍 trafficking and domestic violence in a lawsuit. The case was settled with both parties announcing that they resolved the claims to their “mutual satisfaction.” Following the settlement, Diddy has been accused of similar crimes by a variety of people.
In February, producer and videographer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed a lawsuit in New York federal court alleging that the rapper previously 𝓈ℯ𝓍ually harassed, drugged and threatened him while he was working with him on his recent Love album from September 2022 to November 2023. The following month, the rapper’s properties in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by federal agents.
In May, a new surveillance video of Diddy grabbing, shoving and kicking Ventura during a 2016 altercation was released and matches the allegations she made in the now-settled lawsuit.
Most recently, CNN reported that the U.S. Justice Department may be preparing to file an indictment against Diddy after he was named in eight civil lawsuits.
Several celebrities have weighed in on the situation with Aubrey O’Day – who previously claimed that Combs asked her to sign an NDA to never disparage the rapper and his label – exclusively telling PEOPLE that she doesn’t “feel vindicated at all” by the recent allegations and John Legend telling CNN that he was “horrified by the allegations.”
