The official trailer of Les Miserables just appeared online yesterday (May 30). For more than a minute, the audience admired the character Fantine portrayed by Anne Hathaway, and enjoyed her sweet voice through the famous song I Dreamed A Dream .

I Dreamed A Dream was composed for the musical Les Miserables on Broadway. This song was performed by Susan Boyle in the Britain’s Got Talent qualifying round in 2009 and turned the Scottish “ugly voice” into a name known worldwide.

Les Miserables is a classic novel by French writer Victor Hugo, first published in 1862. This is considered one of the greatest literary works of the 19th century. The story is set in France during the 19th century. The first two decades of the 19th century since Napoleon I ascended the throne.
The main character of the work is Jean Valjean, a former hard-working prisoner trying to atone for his past mistakes. Jean must struggle with painful memories of the past to assert her honest nature. In the end, he became the savior of the poor people.

Les Miserables was adapted into a musical and performed in London (UK) in 1985 with many immortal songs such as I Dreamed A Dream or Bring Him Home. When it ended in 2003, the musical Les Misérables had run 6,600 performances worldwide.
In addition to Anne Hathaway, the film version of Les Miserables also stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Helena Bonham Carter. The film’s director is Tom Hooper – who won an Oscar last year with the film The King’s Speech.
