It has been verified. Lionel Messi has decided to move to the United States and join Inter Miami of Major League Soccer. Saudi Arabia had offered Messi a massive contract, but he has chosen to transfer to the United States instead.
The 35-year-old Messi has decided on his next move after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his two-year contract. He has revealed that he is going to join Miami, as a return to Barcelona is impossible due to the ongoing financial issues at the Nou Camp. Messi will play for the Miami Dolphins.
Messi was quoted in the publications Diario Sport and Mundo Deportivo as saying, “I’ve taken the decision that I will be going to Miami.”
“[I decided] to leave Europe.”
He continued by saying, “It’s true that I had offers from another European team, but I didn’t even think about it because in Europe, my idea was only to go to Barcelona,” which is accurate, but he didn’t even consider it.
“After winning the World Cup and not being able to move to Barca, it’s time for me to go to the MLS to experience living football in a different way and to enjoy my day-to-day life more.
“Obviously with the same responsibility, the same desire to win, and the same drive to do things well, but with more calm.”
Messi will surpass the likes of Wayne Rooney, Gareth Bale, and David Beckham, the latter of whom is a co-owner of Inter Miami, to become the most famous player in the history of Major League Soccer (MLS).
Messi is familiar with Inter because he trained at the club’s facility in September, along with the rest of the Argentina national team, before to playing Honduras in a World Cup warm-up match at Hard Rock Stadium. Inter’s training center is located in Milan, Italy..
Messi would finish the game with two goals, one of which was a stunning chip shot, to lead Argentina to a 3-0 victory against their opponents.
In the days that followed the match, Messi went back to the training facility to talk to some of Inter’s players, including Gonzalo Higuain, who had been on the same national team with him previously.
Inter’s Argentine goalkeeper Ranieri was one of the people that talked to Messi, and he was the one who asked the seven-time winner of the Ballon d’Or to sign his arm.
Messi graciously consented, and Ranieri did not waste any time in making it permanent. The next day, he got a tattoo of the signature engraved on his body.Watch the video that’s been embedded here.
After some time had passed, Ranieri uploaded a picture of his new tattoo to Instagram along with the caption, “The finest day ever. The other day, I made one of my dreams come true. I got to play on the field with my national team, which included some of the players I look up to.
“I finally got to meet my hero, the greatest player of all time, an amazing person both on and off the field, and my model! It is difficult to put into words how ecstatic I was to see you and discover that you had consented to autograph my arm.
“Leo, you made a dream come true, and whenever I look at the tattoo on my arm, I will be reminded of the elation I felt when I first met you.
“I’m at a loss for words to express how wonderful you are! To be able to live out fantasies like the one I got to live yesterday required a great deal of sacrifice and the setting aside of a great many other things.
“The possibilities that this sport is opening up for me! Let’s press on with everything, because the time is now more than ever!”
As a result of Ranieri’s decision in February to join the team representing Florida Atlantic University, he will not get the opportunity to play on the same team as Lionel Messi for a professional club.
But he has responded favorably to the report that Messi will soon be arriving in Miami. He has posted a picture of the two of them together on Instagram with the description “Sonando despierto,” which translates to “daydreaming.” Messi will be playing for the Miami Dolphins.
