Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola gave a brutal response when asked about Manchester United’s start to the season.
After a busy summer transfer window that resulted in United bringing in the likes of Mason Mount, Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund and Sergio Reguillon, many expected Erik ten Hag’s men to be challenging City at the top of the Premier League.
However, it has been a horrible start for the Old Trafford club as they have only collected six points out of a possible 15.
On Monday, ahead of City’s Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade, Guardiola was asked about United’s start to the season. You can watch his reaction below.

When talking about City’s potential challengers, Guardiola said: “You know how strong are Arsenal, yesterday at Goodison Park they are exceptional. Liverpool again, the mentality will continue there.”
At this point, a reporter asked about United.
Guardiola then laughed before saying: “Well they didn’t start like they expected, like Chelsea. But always, they are Man United, and Chelsea sooner or later they will take the rhythm.”

The Spaniard has also urged his team to continue making more history.
He said: “I’d like to say that for our club to win the Champions League is incredible.
“But in perspective, how many teams have won the Champions League once? In perspective, we did nothing special. Just one. We didn’t have it and we’re proud.”
Guardiola continued: “I was incredibly proud at Barcelona to win two in four years but we didn’t win it in a row. Let’s try to be being ourselves. If we aren’t able to win it then let’s qualify for next year and try again.”
