Ronaldo: Al Nassr Star Set To Sue Former Club Over Unpaid Wages

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly preparing to file a lawsuit against Juventus for a substantial sum of £17 million in unpaid wages.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had agreed to defer his salary with the Italian club to assist with their financial challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, it appears Juventus has failed to honour their alleged commitment to compensate Ronaldo promptly for the deferred earnings.

According to CBS Sports, the Portuguese veteran has already approached the prosecutor’s office in Turin and has since decided to take action against the Italian giants.

Another former Juventus player, Paulo Dybala, also reportedly took legal action against the Old Lady after they failed to pay his deferred wages from the pandemic.

According to Calcio Finanza, via Sportskeeda, the club resolved the matter by paying the Argentine striker €3mil.

The same publication stated that salary discrepancies became evident when it was discovered Juventus had reported ‘fictitious’ capital gains amounting to €60.3mil.

Ronaldo, though, is reportedly yet to receive his dues. The Portuguese veteran is said to have requested his agreement with the club as the basis for his legal argument.

Ronaldo scores golazo with weaker foot

Meanwhile, Ronaldo maintained his goal-scoring form by netting a remarkable strike as Al-Nassr secured a comfortable victory over Al Raed in the Saudi Pro League.

The veteran, who currently tops the SPL charts, delivered a decisive blow to seal the win for the Knights of Najd on the road, as his side maintained their league table ascent.

The former Real Madrid star nutmegged his opposition marker before opting to unleash an unstoppable shot from inside the box, putting the icing on the cake for Al-Nassr.
