Kevin Durant Made NBA History In Suns-Kings Game

Kevin Durant made NBA history during Friday’s game.

On Friday evening, the Phoenix Suns are in California facing off against the Sacramento Kings.

Kevin Durant is playing in his 1,010th career game, which moves him ahead of Ron Harper for sole possession of 140th on the all-time regular season games played list.

Following Harper, the next player for Durant to pass will be Jermaine O’Neal (1,011).

Durant came into the evening with averages of 31.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 51.8% from the field and 46.7% from the three-point range in 23 games.

The Suns are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 14-13 record in their first 27 games.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 109-104.

In 38 minutes of playing time, Durant had 40 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals while shooting 16/28 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range.

Following the Kings, the Suns will play their next game on Monday evening when they host Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

Durant is in his 16th season playing in the NBA (and his second with the Suns).

In addition to Phoenix, he has also played for the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The two-time NBA Champion has career averages of 27.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 38.7% from the three-point range.
