Do you see how Anne Hathaway protects her skin from the harsh Mediterranean sun? Very demure, very mindful.
In new photos published by The Daily Mail, the 41-year-old actor was spotted in a full-coverage yellow and pink tie-dye wetsuit during a boat trip in Sardinia, an Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea. Hathaway paired her bodysuit with some flippers and blue goggles for a plunge in the water but added a white bucket hat and black sunglasses while on board, which gave the Devil Wears Prada star an added layer of protection from harsh UV rays.
While it’s unclear what brand of bodysuit Hathaway was wearing, Sofia Richie wore the same look on a yacht with Emily in Paris star Lily Collins in December 2020. Meanwhile, Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney cosigned the next big swimwear trend with a wetsuit “thirst trap” on Instagram.

This is not the first time Anne Hathaway has taken extra measures for sun protection. On multiple rain-free occasions, the actor has been spotted shielding her face with umbrellas. As someone with a well-documented obsession with SPF, I thoroughly admire her dedication.

“My mom had some skin issues and my grandmother had skin cancer. So she has taught me to wear factor 30 sun cream daily,” Hathaway reportedly told The Sun back in 2012. “I even carry an umbrella if I walk in the sunshine and use spray tan if I need to look as if I’ve been sunbathing.” Music to any dermatologist’s ears.
