After 1 month of launch, Ronaldo’s YouTube channel has surpassed many famous artists.
Ronaldo has just scored the 902nd goal of his career and continues the race to reach the 1,000-goal mark. But he is not only competing for new goals on the pitch, he is also competing for records on multimedia entertainment platforms.
Since opening his YouTube channel, Ronaldo quickly gained the most subscribers to his channel in the history of the online video-sharing platform. It’s been a month and Ronaldo is close to reaching 63 million subscribers on his channel.
Ronaldo’s YouTube channel subscription growth rate leaves behind many famous entertainment stars such as Taylor Swift (60 million subscriptions) or Eminem (61.9 million subscriptions). After just 90 minutes of opening Ronaldo’s channel, it received 1 million registrations, after 1 day it reached 18 million and a month later – almost 63 million.
Ronaldo’s involvement in YouTube certainly makes this service the channel with the most video viewing time by users in the world, surpassing Netflix and Amazon Prime. Ronaldo has published more than 40 contents on his channel, covering a wide variety of topics related to him, from everyday life, family, exercise and eating habits, to conversations with famous football figures.
Ronaldo said: “I have had this idea for a long time, but last year I felt the need to open a channel. YouTube allows me to connect with millions of fans around the world in the same way, no matter their age or where they come from. I want them to see how I practice, how I eat, how I live, how I chat with friends, not only about football but about outside issues.”
“I want to share my moments outside of football and that makes me think that opening a channel now is the best thing to do. How much more will the amount of content increase? It depends on the fans, I owe it to them for their support and company in my career.”
