Kim Kardashian has broken her silence and spoken out for the first time after being said to be the main character that Taylor Swift targeted in ‘thanK you aIMee’ – a song on the 8X star’s new album ‘The tortured poets department’.
The lyrics include: “There’s a big bronze statue of you, just like your tanned skin. And underneath there’s a sign. There’s threats of me being pushed down the school stairs. And the pain still haunts me” or “While you were throwing punches, I was building my career. And I can’t forgive what you did.” Taylor Swift has spoken in detail about her feud with Kim Kardashian, saying it left her devastated and traumatized.
But despite all the gossip, Kim insists that life is good. The Skims founder recently sat down for an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where host Jimmy joked about Taylor’s new album in the opening, but didn’t ask any more “pressing” questions – the exact opposite of what fans are most concerned about right now.
“I’m sure Kim asked the show’s editors to tell Jimmy to stay away from questions about Taylor,” one commenter wrote. Fans were even more angry when the reality TV star deliberately avoided mentioning Taylor Swift’s song and the pain she and her ex-husband – Kanye West caused Taylor in the past.
Kim Kardashian is reportedly ready to end her feud with Taylor Swift. An insider told People that Kim “doesn’t understand why Taylor keeps bringing it up.”
However, not willing to sit still, Kim stirred up the situation by re-sharing an old photo with model Karlie Kloss – Taylor’s former best friend. Many fans were “shocked” to see Karlie hanging out with the Kim Kardashian sisters in the past – Taylor Swift’s “arch-enemies”, sparking rumors that Karlie had betrayed her old friend.
In 2023, Taylor was named Time ‘s Person of the Year and shared the bullying incident that Kim and Kanye caused her. The singer said that the feud had a serious impact on her.
She confided to America’s leading magazine: “That made me mentally depressed to the point of having to go to a place I had never been before. I moved abroad to live. I didn’t leave my rented house for a year. I was afraid to receive phone calls. I pushed most of the people in my life away because I didn’t trust anyone anymore, I was really depressed.”
