Fans on social media have reacted to Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods’ TGL series’ brand-new screen. The upcoming tech-infused golf series has been in the headlines for a while, and finally, it will start with its first season in January 2025.

As the series gears up to start its first season, they have recently unveiled the huge screen, measuring around 53 x 64 ft, on which the players will hit their shots.
Nuclr Golf shared the news about the TV screen of TGL on its X (formerly Twitter) account, writing:
“The view of the massive 53 x 64 foot TGL screen that PGA TOUR golfers will hit balls into. (Via @alexisohanian) Will you be watching the simulator league?”
However, fans did not seem happy with the series as they expressed their disappointment in the comment section.
“This is the worst idea in all history of the game of golf,” one fan jotted.
“Uhhhh no,” a fan wrote.
Several other fans called it “dumb,” while some claimed that they had no interest in watching it.
“So DUMB,” another fan said.
“Nope will never watch a minute. Sorry, no interest. Simulators are to play but not to watch on TV,” a fan commented.

Everything you need to know about Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL series
TGL is a tech-infused golf series featuring six teams of four players. However, unlike regular golf tournaments, which take place on the golf course, this series will take place indoors on a simulator.
A stadium, SoFi Centre, has been designed for the series in Florida. A total of 24 PGA Tour players will be playing in it in teams of four. There will be 15 regular matches, after which the teams at the top of the rankings will compete in the semifinals and then the finale.

- Match 1 – New York Golf Club vs The Bay Golf Club – Tuesday, 7 January
- Match 2 – Los Angeles Golf Club vs Jupiter Links Golf Club – Tuesday, 14 January,
- Match 3 – New York Golf Club vs Atlanta Drive GC – Tuesday, 21 January
- Match 4 – Jupiter Links Golf Club vs Boston Common Golf – Monday, 27 January
- Match 5 – Boston Common Golf vs. Los Angeles Golf Club – Tuesday, 4 February
- Matches 6-8 – Presidents’ Day Tripleheader – Monday, 17 February
- Match 9 – Jupiter Links Golf Club vs New York Golf Club – Tuesday, 18 February
- Matches 10-12 – Monday, 24 February and Tuesday, 25 February
- Matches 13-15 – Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4
- Semifinals – Monday, 17 March & Tuesday, 18 March
- Finals Series – Monday, 24 March & Tuesday, 25 March
TGL tournaments will take place on Monday and Tuesday nights and will only consist of 15 holes. In every match, three of the four players from each team will play in two different formats. For the first nine holes, players will alternate 3 vs. 3, and then there will be head-to-head singles matches on the last six holes.
