The Kardashians prepared for their own Thanksgiving events by first donating to those in need.

For the third year in a row, the family partnered with SharkNinja to donate to Union Station Homeless Services for their annual Dinner in the Park, which provides warm Thanksgiving meals to thousands of community members in Los Angeles.

Their donation ensured the services were able to serve over 5,000 warm meals this Thanksgiving.

The family also once more donated to Alexandria House, the organization that provides safe and supportive housing for women and 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren experiencing homelessness and trauma.

Their donation went towards purchasing grocery store gift cards for the families so they could purchase Thanksgiving meals, and covered the cost of the Thanksgiving event held at Alexandria House on Friday, Nov. 22.

Through their work with SharkNinja, they also gifted families with tons of new SharkNinja products.

A source tells PEOPLE, “They plan on spending time with their families this Thanksgiving.”

On Thursday, Nov. 28, Khloé Kardashian, 40, shared a series of snaps of her Thanksgiving celebration, which included her son Tatum, 2, and daughter True, 6.

“Thankful 🥹,” Kardashian, who shares her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren with ex Tristan Thompson, wrote across a photo of the two on her Instagram Stories.

In the pic, the brother and sister hugged each other tightly as they sat in a dimly lit room.

This isn’t the first year the family has worked closed with Alexandria House.

In 2022, Kris Jenner and her daughters arranged for Christmas lights to be installed on the exterior of the two Alexandria House homes in L.A.

They also treated the Alexandria House women to a morning of pampering, and were able to tour the two residential homes. In addition, they met with the Alexandria House team as well as the women and 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren in the nonprofit’s transitional program.

The Kardashian-Jenner family has made charitable endeavors a priority over the years. Kim Kardashian has long been a champion champion for criminal justice reform, the issue even inspiring her to pursue a career in law.

In 2017, Khloe Kardashian opened up about the importance of giving back, without expecting any praise for it.

“My parents have always been very compassionate and giving,” she said.

“We were raised in a very blessed environment but since my dad grew up a lot less fortunate, it was really important to him to show us all realities of life and not let us be jaded by the life that he was so lucky to provide us.”

She added, “At the same time, my dad always said to not be boastful about the charity work you do. Ask yourself if you are helping to benefit others or for a self-serving purpose. Because I hate when people throw their charity work in everyone’s faces because they are doing it for publicity or praise.”

She continued, “I give to give. I don’t give to get.”
