Wife’s incredible surprise for Navy husband after he returns from two-year deployment

The wife of a US Navy aviator gave him the surprise of a lifetime after he came home to western Kentucky from a more than two-year-long deployment.

Patrick Brennan, who is a weapons system officer on an F/A-18 fighter aircraft, has been stationed in Japan since the spring of 2022, Fox News reported.

His wife Cecilia Brennan told Fox News her husband often tells her how much he misses friends and hobbies, one of which are hunting.

In a now-viral video posted to her Instagram, Brennan caught the moment her husband’s jaw dropped after she revealed his best buddies were there to go on a duck hunting trip with him.

Previously, his friends arrived at his door and Patrick laughed in disbelief when he saw them.

Once they were inside and catching up with each other, Brennan was seen lugging a suitcase down the stairs before presenting it to her husband.

She packed all of his clothes and hunting gear for him, telling him that he was going with his friends hunting.

‘Merry Christmas! Your woman is amazing!’ one of his friends could be heard saying.

Patrick said he hadn’t ever planned on going hunting that soon, instead thinking he might go sometime next year or the year after.

‘I was catching up with his best friends and keeping them in the loop. They told me they were going on their yearly duck hunting trip to Fowl Plains Outfitter.

‘They were thinking about driving from their home in Virginia to Kansas, and I asked if they would want to stop by,’ Brennan told Fox.

Fowl Plains Outfitters is located in Great Bend, Kansas, and offers duck and goose hunts.

‘Having his best friends knock on the door was a surprise enough, but to actually be going with him, he was in shock. I still can’t believe we pulled it off,’ Brennan added.

‘After all he has sacrificed, he more than deserves a chance to relax and recharge before he dives head-first into family life,’ she said.

Brennan said she’s her husband’s biggest fan and is a supporter of all his hobbies.

‘Nothing brings me more joy than knowing he’s happy. And now, we will be having duck for Christmas,’ she said.
