The Dodgers could lose all three free agents they have in the MLB winter market.

The offseason continues in Major League Baseball, as teams continue to move their pieces around to put together the best roster for 2025, where the Los Angeles Dodgers will look to defend the title they won in the World Series. They entered the playoffs with little hope due to injuries in the rotation, but they had pitcher Jack Flaherty as a stalwart who gave them strength.

After signing a one-year contract with the Detroit Tigers, four months later Flaherty was traded to the Dodgers and anchored the rotation. After a good season in which he was key to the title, individually he has the best strikeout rate in MLB, only behind Blake Snell, which allows him to have conditions to achieve an agreement in free agency, in which he is in the top three of the pitchers available, along with Corbin Burnes and Roki Sasaki.

The Dodgers are in a reorganization, so far they have reached agreements with Blake Snell, outfielder Michael Conforto, renewed reliever Blake Treinen and Tommy Edman, and in addition to the gaps they have yet to fill on their roster, they still have unfinished business with their three free agents: Jack Flaherty, Walker Buehler and Teoscar Hernandez.

Jack Flaherty is wanted by the Angels

With the World Series title, the three Dodgers free agents are being courted by other teams, which has stalled negotiations, especially with Teoscar Hernandez, while Walker Buehler is close to the two New York teams and, according to Kerry Miller of Bleacher Report, Jack Flaherty is targeting the Los Angeles Angels in a $72 million deal, in what would be the path that Shohei Ohtani did, but in reverse.

Miller added that the Dodgers are unlikely to be in the market for $20 million-plus pitchers anymore, while surprisingly, the Angels are looking to compete in the winter market to put together a respectable roster and not have another year stuck, so having Flaherty, along with left-hander Yusei Kikuchi, Kyle Hendricks, Tyler Anderson and Jose Soriano, would give them options in the American League West.
