Elon Musk CPAC ugly hat
Elon Musk is rapidly overstaying his welcome at the White House, according to senior Trump Administration officials.
The CEO of Tesla and X, formerly Twitter, is getting on everyone’s nerves as his so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) tears through the federal government, three anonymous sources familiar with the matter recently told Rolling Stone. The sources said that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is struggling to hide his “disdain” for Musk, and that some State Department officials have given him the nickname “Crazy Uncle Elon.”
“I have been in the same room with Elon, and he always tries to be funny. And he’s not funny. Like, at all,” a senior Trump official said. “He makes these jokes and little asides and smiles and then looks almost hurt if you don’t lap up his humor. I keep using the word ‘annoying’; a lot of people who have to deal with him do. But the word doesn’t do the situation justice. Elon just thinks he’s smarter than everyone else in the room and acts like it, even when it’s clear he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
Trump lieutenants have reportedly walked out of meetings because of Musk’s behavior, and “earnestly” questioned whether or not he was on drugs in private statements to each other. The sources said that administration officials have joked about forcing Musk to undergo regular drug tests — something Musk said in February would be a “great idea” for federal employees.
An attorney for Musk told the outlet that he is “regularly and randomly drug-tested at SpaceX and has never failed a test.” However, several leaders at Tesla and SpaceX have claimed witness him use LSD, cocaine, Ecstasy, and mushrooms, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
“Talking to the guy is sometimes like listening to really rusty nails on a chalkboard,” the Trump official continued. “He’s just the most irritating person I’ve ever had to deal with, and that is saying something.”
