Joe Rogan On What If LeBron James Was A MMA Fighter: “Everybody Would Be F****d”

LeBron James is regarded as one of the best basketball players in the history of the NBA. James is a freak of nature and could have played a different sport professionally.

While most think LeBron James would have been a great NFL player as he was one of the best-ranked prospects during his high school days, Joe Rogan believes the King could have been a scary MMA fighter.

“Well, see a guy like that, if he was fighting, everybody would be f****d,” Rogan said in a 2017 podcast. “They are goddamn lucky there’s that much money in basketball that LeBron James got into that. And people go, ‘Well, you know what, man? Some things that make a great-looking basketball player wouldn’t necessarily make you a great fighter.’ Listen to me. Save it. That guy’s going to beat your f*****g a**.”

Rogan added, “He’s a winner, there’s just a certain level of winners, and he’d do whatever the f**k he wants.”

LeBron James is 6’9″ and currently weighs 250 lbs. If James had trained himself for combat sports, he could have been an elite fighter in the UFC’s light heavyweight division.

It’s one of the biggest what-ifs for sports fans. After all, James is built like a truck without compromising his quickness.

Dana White Once Talked About A Hypothetical Slap Fight Between LeBron James And Michael Jordan

Imaginary scenarios of legendary basketball players in the fighting world are something that fans love a lot.

Speaking of which, UFC president Dana White once shared his thoughts on who would win in a hypothetical slap fight between LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

“Michael Jordan [would win],” White said in an interview. “Listen, I respect LeBron and what he has done and who he is as an athlete. Never in trouble. Always there for the games. Makes a big difference when he’s on a team. You feel the difference when he’s on a team. But Jordan is my all-time. And I’m a Celtics guy, but Jordan is a f*****g 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er. Jordan is a 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁er.”

White gave Jordan the edge despite the Chicago Bulls legend being  6’6” and 198 lbs. Dana believes Michael’s mentality would have given him an advantage over LeBron, who obviously has a physique more suited for combat sports.
