In the opinion of Charles Barkley, Kevin Durant is a sensitive player: He belongs to the generation that believes it is impossible to criticize them

• Charles Barkley labels Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant ‘very sensitive’

• Barkley thinks Durant is part of the generation who believes they can’t be criticized

• Durant doesn’t respect what Barkley has to say about him

Getting criticized is part of being an elite player in the NBA. Kevin Durant has been criticized a lot over the course of his career in the league.

Charles Barkley remains one of his biggest critics. During a March 2023 interview, Chuck labeled Durant as a very sensitive player.

“He’s very sensitive,” Barkley said. “Great player. He’s part of that generation who think he can’t be criticized. He’s never looked in the mirror and said, ‘Man, was that a fair criticism?'”

Barkley has never pulled any punches when it comes to calling out Durant. Well, the same is true for Durant’s behavior toward the Basketball Hall of Famer. KD clapped back at Chuck for making these comments.

The Phoenix Suns superstar made it clear that he’ll never respect anything coming out of Barkley’s mouth. Now, that’s a beef.

Kevin Durant Doesn’t Want To Talk To Charles Barkley

Kevin Durant and Charles Barkley have exchanged many blows online, primarily on Twitter. But the two superstars are yet to sit on a 1-on-1 interview and talk things out.

For fans, it would be a phenomenal interview. However, Durant is not interested in having a chat with Barkley.

“We both played ball, both played in the NBA, both are ‘superstar’ caliber players. So I’m sure we can relate on a lot of things,” Durant said. “We’ve accomplished and experienced the same things in this league. So I wouldn’t say we’re not on the same page. We may disagree on some stuff, but if you watch TNT, those guys disagree every day.”

KD added: “But we grew up as ball players and went through the journey as ball players so I would say we’re on the same page already… but I probably wouldn’t sit down with Charles.”

Maybe Durant’s stance on talking with Barkley may change in the future. But as of now, the 34-year-old couldn’t care less about sorting things out with Barkley.

As for Chuck, he believes Durant can truly become a bus rider if he wins a ring with the Suns. Kevin Durant averaged 29.1 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 5.0 APG last season but couldn’t lead the Phoenix Suns past the Denver Nuggets in the second round. They were eliminated in six games by the eventual champions.
