Kevin Durant Says He Pushed For Marijuana To Be Allowed By The NBA

The NBA lifted the ban on marijuana under the NBA rules. There were mixed reactions to it from fans.

However, two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant is certainly in favor of it. So much so that the Slim Reaper recently revealed he pushed for the NBA to allow the use of marijuana.

“I actually called [Adam Silver] and advocated for him to take marijuana off the banned substances list,” Durant said. “I felt like it was becoming a thing around the country and around the world. The stigma behind it wasn’t as negative as it was before. It doesn’t affect you in a negative way. He agreed… I just enjoy the plant, it’s simple as that.”

Durant got his wish fulfilled as the league will no longer penalize players for the use of marijuana. Keeping that in mind, it’s no surprise that Durant was supposedly high during his recent appearance on the tennis court.
