Manchester United Tracking Mason Greenwood’s Progress With Training Data

Manchester United are yet to clarify Mason Greenwood’s future with the club amid an ongoing investigation into his conduct.

Greenwood, 21, has been sidelined since January 2022 after being arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁. While he was charged in early February, prosecutors later dropped all charges against him.

Man United have conducted their own investigation into the issues surrounding Greenwood. The club’s officials have received reports about his training regime away from the club’s facilities in recent months.

United have not formally revealed when they will announce a decision on Greenwood’s next steps. But sources indicate an update is expected before the new Premier League season starts next week.

It is understood club manager Erik ten Hag does not want to sell Greenwood but would consider loaning him out. However, United are determined to complete a thorough investigation process before clarifying his status.

Greenwood has not returned to United’s Carrington training ground during his suspension. The forward, who made his England debut in 2020, has scored 35 goals in 129 appearances for United since breaking into the first team in 2019.

United begin the new Premier League season at home to Wolves on August 22. The conclusion of the club’s investigation and any final decision on Greenwood’s future is likely to happen before then.
