The Istana Nurul Iman palace is the official residents of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, who is also the Prime Minister of Brunei. Bolkiah has been residing in the house for several decades now, ever since he was crowned the Sultan of the country.

Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia is around 4 lakh square feet, while the Lakshmi Vilas Palace in Gujarat has a square footage of around 8 lakh square feet. However, the palace of Sultan of Brunei – the Istana Nurul Iman – has a size of around 2.2 million square feet, being the world’s largest house.
The name is Istana Nurul Iman means the Palace of Light and Faith and features a massive well-manicured lawn, golden domes, and massive glass doors. The Palace of Brunei is also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest palace, defeating Buckingham Palace, the Louvre, and the Forbidden City.
Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah has been residing in the palace since the 1960s, and he houses his elaborate car collection of 7000 luxury vehicles. The cars are valued at USD 5 billion, which comes to Rs 41,600 crore in Indian currency.
While the Istana Nurul Iman is valued at around Rs 11,600 crore, the overall net worth of the Sultan of Brunei is around Rs 2.49 lakh crore, according to Wikipedia.
