Despite how hard no-šš¾šš animal shelters strive to find permanent homes for the creatures in their care, every now and then a dog is overlooked by potential adopters, despite the shelterās best efforts.
Dahlia is one of these dogs. The American Staffordshire Terrier Mix has spent her entire life at the Santa Barbara Humane Society. She arrived at the age of six months. The shelterās longest resident, who is now 7 years old, needs a forever home, so volunteers there are working to find him one.
One of the shelter volunteers remarked, āShe is a wonderfully sweet, clever, loving, loyal big lap dogā¦ She is a really lovely, smart, loving, loyal big lap dogā¦ Iām looking for a wonderful single pet home for her. āSheāll make someone very happy!ā
Update:
The shelterās plea did not fall on deaf ears. Daliah got a loving home soon after the Humane Society issued their plea! After seeing her story on the TV, a man from Orange County drove to the shelter to meet her.
The Humane Society couldnāt be happier. āWe are over the moon!ā they declared in a statement. For those of you who have inquired about Dahliaās healthā¦Sheās finally found her everlasting home!! Thank you to everyone who shared her story and contacted us!ā
