‘Most Beautiful Stage Of My Career’ – Fred Emotionally Confirms Man Utd Exit As He Completes Fenerbahce Transfer

After the’most beautiful period’ of his career, Fred, 30, has completed a £13 million move to Fenerbahce.

After announcing his retirement from United, the Brazilian sent an emotional parting message to his fans.

He played in over 200 games for United, scoring 14 times and setting up 19 more.

The player travelled to Istanbul on Saturday for a physical and will be paid £9m upfront by United, with a further £4m in add-ons.

The midfielder thanked Manchester United FC for their support on social media.

One of the most satisfying periods of my work comes to a close today. I finally got to fulfill a lifelong ambition and wear the jersey of a major league club.

There were good times and bad, but no matter what happened, I know I always gave it my all in practice and in competition.

For five years, my family and I lived the American dream. I shall be eternally appreciative of this chance. “Reds Fan Forever.”

Those close to United said they will miss Fred but respect and appreciate his five years of service.

The Brazilian received much of flak from the public, but he nevertheless played frequently under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and horrific interim coach Ralf Rangnick.

However, under new manager Erik ten Hag, he witnessed a considerable decrease in playing time past season.

United accepted Fenerbahce’s bid despite the fact that the midfielder had only 12 league starts for them in the previous campaign.

As a result of Fred’s departure, Erik ten Hag will be able to sign Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat.

However, the Red Devils will need to act soon because Juventus is the most recent team to express interest in him.

United is also considering Amadou Onana of Everton as a backup plan in case they are unable to sign Nordin Amrabat.
