Raheem Sterling has been Chelsea’s outstanding player so far this season.

That is according to talkSPORT pundit Darren Bent.

Raheem Sterling may have been omitted from the England squad during this month’s international break, but that’s not a fair reflection of how he’s started the season in Chelsea colours.

The £50million winger (Daily Mail) has started seven of the opening eight Premier League games this season, scoring three goals so far.

We definitely expect him to be involved this Saturday evening when the Blues host Arsenal in the league.

Incidentally, Chris Sutton recently agreed that the speedster is doing the business for his side.

“Sterling in particular is looking dangerous,” Sutton told BBC Sport ahead of Chelsea vs Arsenal.

Chelsea fans will have been expecting some better results from the squad, but there’s still been some positives after an inconsistent start to the season.

We can certainly agree that Sterling is among Chelsea’s best performers so far this campaign.

The 28-year-old’s one of the senior figures in a very young squad, so eyes will be on him to lead and set the example for the rest.

He’s proven over so many years he can be a potent scorer in England’s top division, so it would be great for him to be in good goalscoring form this campaign.

Elsewhere, the likes of Conor Gallagher, Robert Sanchez and Axel Disasi can be pretty content with the way they’ve started the season as mainstays in the XI. Cole Palmer definitely looks like a really exciting summer signing, too!
