Raiders star wideout Davante Adams fueled speculation of a potential reunion with Aaron Rodgers in New York during his appearance on the The Rich Eisen Show.
Adams, who has voiced his displeasure with his role in the Las Vegas offense this season, stated that the former dynamic duo “miss each other a lot.”
“Ever since we haven’t been teammates, our relationship has gotten stronger,” said Adams. “We try to keep a pretty good line of communication, just because we both obviously miss each other a lot.”
Adams, who signed a five-year, $140 million contract with the Raiders in March 2022, hasn’t officially requested to be traded. However, the six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, who hauled in 100 receptions for 1,516 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns last season in Las Vegas, sparked trade rumors with these admissions.
Adams and Rodgers shined for eight seasons in Green Bay, ranking among the most dynamic quarterback-receiver duos in the NFL.
The Raiders, who are 3–4 this season, could look to move an unhappy Adams in the offseason for a potential reunion with Rodgers with the Jets in 2024.
Las Vegas, who is 1–3 on the road this season, are 8.5-point underdogs against Detroit at SI Sportsbook in Week 8.
