A Scottish woman expressed her exuberant joy after she gave 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 to her first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 after 25 years of failed IVF procedures. The resilient lady welcomed her bouncing 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl after 21 attempts to get pregnant, and she could not keep calm about her blessing.

Helen Dalglish had spent over KSh 17 million in over two decades as she hoped to hold her bundle of joy. After welcoming a bouncing 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl, the new mum said her two decades of pain had been eradicated and forgotten.
“When you get that little miracle at the end, you forget about the 25 years. I was looking down, and the bump was getting bigger, and I thought, ‘Am I dreaming?’ Looking at her, I can’t believe I’m a mum. It’s surreal.”

The Scottish mother started trying to have a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 when she was 28 with her then-husband before being diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

From then, Helen got pregnant three times but suffered heartbreaking miscarriages. Her only chance at being a mum was using donor eggs.
She and her husband received the wonderful news via email and were moved to tears as the prospect of being parents was nearer than ever.

“When we came home, I burst out crying. It felt like 25 years of grief trying to escape and caught me at a moment where I wasn’t expecting it. It’s absolute heaven. She keeps getting better. She seems the most placid, laid-back, happy 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦. It’s almost like I waited so long, and now I’m being spoilt,” she said.
