David Ornstein now gives ‘fascinating’ news update about 22-year-old Chelsea player

Journalist David Ornstein has now revealed some interesting news about Chelsea striker Armando Broja.

He told The Athletic that the 22-year-old is set to change his boot supplier to Puma, which is also coming with a lucrative business venture.

Broja is set to return to Mauricio Pochettino’s plans after another spell out due to injury.

After his original comeback from a serious issue, he was back on the sidelines and unable to compete, no doubt adding to his frustration.

However, he made an instant impact off the bench against Manchester City, winning the penalty which Cole Palmer converted in the final moments.

While his on the field fortunes look set to improve, Ornstein has claimed that his off-field ones will too, with him having the opportunity to expand Puma to countries which don’t have any.

Broja lucrative opportunity

He said: “Talking of Broja, I can actually reveal something fresh (off-field) news on him… the 22-year-old is switching his boot supplier from Nike to Puma. It’s a lucrative, long-term contract that I expect to be announced pretty soon.

“Fascinatingly, he will be more than just an ambassador for the manufacturer; it’s a business venture, too. Broja has secured the exclusive rights to open Puma franchise stores and sell their merchandise in Albania and Kosovo, where currently there are none.

“He also plans to launch a foundation and create football and education academies in Albania, to give opportunities to young boys and girls out there. It comes at the great time as Broja is becoming the face of the national team and they’ve just qualified for Euro 2024, so we should be seeing a lot of him in Germany next summer.”

After being back in training during the international break, Broja will be hoping to get the nod to start again ahead of Nicolas Jackson against Newcastle tomorrow.
