Brilliant 15-year-old girl graduates high school with 4.00GPA, wins $1.6million scholarship to 38 US universities

A brilliant 15-year-old girl named Dionn Meggison has earned over 1 million dollars worth of scholarship offers to 38 different universities after graduating from Cedar Hill High School, United States with an outstanding 4.00 cumulative grade point.

Dionn Meggison, a Cedar Hill native graduated High School with a 4.00 grade point. Her excellent performance earned her $1.6 million dollars worth of scholarships to 38 universities and colleges across the United States.

Dionn also made history as the youngest student to graduate from Cedar Hill with an outstanding grade point average and spent 51 college hours in total while at it.

The accumulated 51 college hours in High School was possible due to a dual credit program through Cedar Hill High School and Dallas College which she participated in.

Aside from Dionn studying, passing with flying colors, and obtaining college credit, she also participated in high school activities. She served as National Honor Society 22-23 Parliamentarian and Gear Up Ambassador.

Dionn was also a Spanish Club and Business Professionals of America member, spent three years in the dance department, and one year on Cedar Hill High School’s Highsteppers dance team.

Dionn’s mother, Sharon Megginson, said that her daughter could graduate early because she completed grades kindergarten, fifth, and eighth through credit by exam.

“We knew she was very smart early on, but we didn’t know it would be to this extent,” Sharon said. “She started reading at age three and was just mastering it. When she went to preschool, her teacher noticed it immediately,” she added.

Dionn said she plans to attend Texas Woman’s University, United States to pursue a degree in Finance. The university offered her $11,000 per year. She was also awarded $500 from a J2A Scholarship, and $1,000 from the Best Southwest Partnership Scholarship.

“It feels good to be in this position, It means a lot to get where I am. I’m looking forward to completing my bachelor’s degree before age 18 and a master’s degree before age 21,” she said.
