A serious wide receiver blow to Patrick Mahomes as the injured star is ruled out of the Buffalo Bills playoff game

This injured wideout is known for making a brutal decision during the Chiefs’ previous game versus the Bills

PATRICK Mahomes has lost a piece in his wide receiver artillery ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs divisional round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.

The two-time Super Bowl champion Chiefs quarterback, 28, needs all the help he can get out of his wide receiver group which led the league in drops during the regular season.

Kansas City made announcements concerning their injury report for Sunday’s game at Buffalo.

One of the moves was downgrading wide receiver Kadarius Toney to out for the contest.

The 2020 NFL first-round pick had been listed as questionable due to hip and ankle injuries.

Toney had missed the previous five games.

He won’t have a chance to play in a rematch of the Chiefs-Bills Week 14 game.

The 24-year-old Toney made a huge late-game error during that matchup.

Toney appeared to score a game-winning touchdown off a lateral pass from Travis Kelce, only for the play to be waived off due to Toney being offsides.

Kansas City would go on to lose 20-17.

In 13 games this season, Toney recorded 27 catches for 169 yards and a touchdown.

Mahomes will have star tight end Kelce and rookie wideout Rashee Rice lead the offensive playmaker room.

The nine-time Pro Bowler Kelce will look to break his seven-game scoreless streak.

Rice is coming off an impressive playoff debut with eight receptions, 130 yards and a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins last weekend.

Kansas City’s wideout group consists the likes of Justin Watson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Mecole Hardman.

Mahomes will also have Isiah Pacheco manning the backfield.

The 24-year-old running back had 24 rushing attempts for 89 yards and a touchdown last weekend.

As for the rest of the injury report, the Chiefs ruled defensive end Charles Omenihu (illness) and linebacker Willie Gay (neck) as questionable.
