Mbappe continued to have a stable season, leading PSG to the Ligue 1 championship easily. He scored 27 goals in France’s highest league this season and 44 goals in all competitions for PSG.

” Ligue 1 always holds a special place in my heart. This is the only league I have played in so far and I always strive to be a worthy representative. I will definitely miss this place very much. Many chapters of my life have ended and now many interesting things lie ahead,” Mbappe shared after receiving the award.

This may be the last time the 2018 World Cup champion receives this title. Last week, Kylian Mbappe confirmed that he would leave PSG at the end of the season when his contract expired and his destination was predicted to be Real Madrid.

Mbappe had his final match at Parc des Princes in the early morning of May 13 (Vietnam time). In this match, Mbappe scored an early goal to put the home team in the lead, but in the end PSG still overcame the defeat with a score of 1-3.

Notably, after that match, the French striker and PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi had a tense conflict. According to Le Parisien , Kylian Mbappe reacted heatedly when the PSG owner said he did not thank him in the club’s farewell video.

Mbappe has 246 appearances in France’s top division while playing for Monaco and PSG. The captain of the French team has an impressive number of goals with 191 goals and 74 assists.

During his 7 years playing at PSG, Mbappe owned impressive goal statistics over the seasons. Season 2022-2023 (43 goals), 2021-2022 (46 goals), 2020-2021 (47 goals), 2019-2020 (37 goals), 2018-2019 (43 goals), 2017-2018 (46 goals). Mbappe surpassed other candidates such as Dembele , Pierre Lees-Melou (Brest), Aubameyang (Marseille) and Edon Zhegrova (Lille)…

PSG also dominated most other domestic titles at the awards ceremony on the morning of May 14. Young midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery was named young player of the season and Gianluigi Donnarumma best goalkeeper.

Brest’s Eric Roy was named best coach of the year after leading the club to European football for the first time in their history.
