It’s the battle of the KarJenners for who is the richest sister.
Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner were both in the Top 50 of Forbes’ “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” list published Thursday — but only one of them is still a billionaire.
On the 2023 list, Jenner, 25, is ranked 38th with $680 million, and Kardashian, 42, is ranked 21st with $1.2 billion.
Jenner was originally crowned Forbes’ youngest self-made billionaire in 2018, only to have the title taken away after a recalculation of her net worth.
The founder of Kylie Cosmetics launched her line of lip kits in 2015, using $250,000 of her modeling earnings. In January 2020, she sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty Inc. for $600 million, leaving her with about $540 million pre-tax, Forbes reported.
However, Forbes published a scathing report later in 2020 with documents revealing that the business was smaller than the family claimed for years, estimating her worth as just under $900 million at the time and leading her to lose the billionaire title.
Jenner still owns about 44% of Kylie Cosmetics.

Kardashian, on the other hand, remains a billionaire — but her net worth has decreased since last year.
Compared to her current $1.2 billion, the reality-TV star had a net worth of $1.8 billion in 2022, according to Forbes.
A majority of Kardashian’s fortune comes from her shapewear company, Skims, which raised $240 million in January 2022 and had a then-valuation of $3.2 billion. Billionaires Stephen Mandel and Josh Kushner are investors in the brand.
In 2020, Kardashian sold 20% of her other company, KKW Beauty, to Coty, Inc. — the same publicly traded company that Kylie Cosmetics was sold to — for $200 million. But Kardashian shut down the cosmetics and perfume company in 2021 to launch SKKN By Kim, a high-end skin care line, in June 2022.

Last year, Rihanna was named the youngest self-made billionaire woman in the US — which knocked Kardashian to second place. Rihanna is now ranked 20th overall, one spot above Kardashian.
Now, at 35 years old, Rihanna is still the youngest self-made billionaire woman on the Forbes list with a net worth of $1.4 billion, the same as last year.
Rihanna is also the richest self-made woman in music, with Taylor Swift coming in second place, with an estimated net worth of $740 million.
