“Saved from Near-Death: The Story of a Baby Whose Heart Stopped Beating for 8 Minutes After Birth” describes how the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 was saved.

Norwich, England – Rachel Cherry (30) and Adam (29) breathed a sigh of relief when they finally heard their son’s cries, Theo Babbage. They were extremely worried when they did not hear the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦’s cry.

The reason Theo couldn’t cry like other babies after 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 was because he experienced cardiac arrest for 8 minutes. Theo’s body and skin had turned purple.

Realizing the patient’s abnormal condition after 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, doctors and medical staff immediately performed resuscitation procedures to reduce the risk of brain damage.

“At 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, the only thing you wanted to hear was your 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦’s cry for the first time, but this time it didn’t. I kept waiting. I felt uncomfortable during that time,” Cherry shared.

The doctors tried their best to revive Theo’s heart. As soon as Theo’s heart started beating again, he was transferred to the intensive care unit. After Theo’s condition improved and was discharged from the hospital, he continued to be monitored by doctors and had to have regular check-ups, as the doctors still didn’t know the cause of Theo’s weakness.

“Even on the first night at home, he had a seizure. He was so weak, even when I took him home, he still had to be connected to some medical tubing, so he was so weak. I have to be careful. This makes me feel frustrated and nervous,” added Cherry.

Currently, Theo is 5 months old and determined to be healthy. His growth and development is amazing. According to Theo’s parents, the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 is able to live off the equipment and medical team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). Cherry and Adam are currently fundraising to buy a similar incubator.

Good news and hope returned to Rachel Cherry and Adam’s lives as their son Theo overcame his early struggles. Despite experiencing cardiac arrest for eight minutes after giving 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, Theo was revived and cared for by the medical team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

After treatment and careful monitoring, Theo has improved significantly and is now determined to be healthy at the age of 5 months. Theo’s growth and development is an amazing feat, and his parents are grateful for the support from the dedicated doctors and medical staff at NNUH.

With the family’s unforgettable experiences, Cherry and Adam are now looking to raise funds to purchase an incubator similar to the one used to care for Theo. They hope that the device will help other babies, like Theo, have a chance to live and grow up healthy.

Despite their trials and tribulations, Rachel Cherry and Adam still believe that their boundless love and care will help Theo overcome all difficulties and have a bright future.

Theo needs special care and routine check-ups from doctors and medical professionals. The family has forged a special relationship with the medical team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), who have become a trusted companion in Theo’s healthcare journey.

Cherry and Adam also learned about medical devices and cutting-edge technology that can assist Theo in his daily life. Incubator is one of them. This device can create a warm and stable environment for babies, which helps to ensure the development of respiratory system and body.

Raising funds to buy a similar incubator for Theo not only helps him but also gives hope to other infants with similar difficulties. Rachel Cherry and Adam have started an online fundraising campaign and spread their message through social networks and local communities.

They receive great support from family, friends and the community. Everyone goes along and joins hands to help Theo and other babies have the best chance to live and develop.

Every donation, big or small, counts and contributes to the goals of the Cherry and Adam family. Thanks to everyone’s unconditional love and care, Theo was given a chance to live, and the whole family realized that they were not alone in this journey.
