Khloé Kardashian faced two people telling her she should go to therapy — but the Good American co-founder insists she’s “not struggling.”
On the new episode of The Kardashians, sister Kim Kardashian tells Khloé she’s returning to therapy — and says Khloé should also “be on this journey with me.”
The topic comes up again later while Khloé is sitting at lunch with pal Malika Haqq, and the conversation quickly pivots to Khloé’s (then) upcoming 40th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.
“We do have to celebrate your 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day really big,” Malika says. “Should we do an Eat Pray Love for your 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day?” she asks, referencing Elizabeth Gilbert’s soul-searching memoir, which was made into a 2010 movie starring Julia Roberts.
“No,” Khloé swiftly responds, calling the idea a “disaster.”
“It’s indirect therapy,” Malika argues. “It’s like the kind of therapy you want to do.”

“Do you think I need therapy?” Khloé asks.
“A hundred percent,” Malika replies.
“You do?” Khloé replies, shocked, telling Malika about her earlier conversation with Kim.
“You should listen to your sister,” Malika says.
“I’ve done therapy,” Khloé says. “I’ve gone to like, three or four different therapists.”
She says that she saw a therapist before she welcomed her second 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, son Tatum, via surrogate in August 2022. She shares Tatum and daughter True, 8, with ex Tristan Thompson.
“I’ve never connected. I’m like, ‘I just told you my whole life story. Every dark demonic thing and you’re just gonna be like, ‘Okay.’ I never got any guidance.”
“Then she’s definitely not the person for you,” Malika says.
“So far, every therapist I’ve seen has done that,” Khloé explains.
In her confessional, Khloé says, “I was actually told by one therapist that I didn’t need therapy because I process things so matter-of-fact. I don’t know. It was a strange encounter.”
She reflects back on how she dealt with ex-husband Lamar Odom’s cheating and drug scandal, saying, “My husband, I found him at a drug den in a motel and, like, I was saying something, but [my therapist asked], ‘So do you get upset?’ ”

Khloé said because she was calm and not upset, the therapist told her, “I don’t really think you need me.“
“I was like, ‘What? Is she firing me?’” Khloé mused. “I think I got broken up with by a therapist.”
However, as Malika pointed out, “You’ve gone through several traumatic events and you need someone to help you find your exit. It’s not that you need someone to tell you how to be Khloé. You need someone to tell you how to see your way out.”
Khloé admits in her confessional, “I’m sure I need therapy. I just don’t think I’m struggling, and I’m like, ‘I can’t find my way. I need a therapist.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’ll try therapy.’”
She says she does need to be more “adult social” and as Malika suggests, “Talk to different therapists for a little while.”
“Who has time?” Khloe asks, to which Malika says, “Make the time.”
New episodes of The Kardashians drop Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
