Team USA star Anthony Davis tweaked his ankle against South Sudan but avoided an injury.

Davis hurt his ankle in the 2nd quarter when attempting an alley-oop and took his time to get up. Nevertheless, he returned to action in the second half, finishing the game with 8 points (4/7 FG), 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 17 EFF.

“Wenyen being Wenyen,” Davis joked about the situation per Ben Golliver. “He’s my guy. I was falling, and he came down too and just kind of stepped on my foot.”

In the first two games, Davis averages 7.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 15.5 EFF per game for Team USA.
