LeBron James, the captain of USA Basketball, stated that Team USA needs to be prepared for formidable opponents such as Canada and Germany as they head into the knockout round of the tournament.
Even though Team USA will play Brazil in the quarterfinals, LeBron noted that Canada and Germany have demonstrated significant s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 and physicality, making them tough adversaries in the knockout stages.
James also shared his thoughts on France’s performance in their last game.
“I wasn’t very impressed with their last game,” James noted, per Ben Golliver. “I didn’t think they were ready for the physicality of Germany. Other than that, they were playing some good ball.”
Team USA will face Brazil on August 6, but the exact tip-off time hasn’t been set yet.
