Rich Paul proves his s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s on the court after comparing himself to Steph Curry as he backed up his claim and shot 8 of 10 three-pointers.
Best known for his behind-the-scenes influence in securing the best deals for his clients, Rich Paul is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in American sports, particularly in the NBA. His client list includes NBA legend LeBron James, positioning him as what fans might call a super-agent.
Last year, during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’, he boldly compared himself to sharpshooter Steph Curry. Putting his money where his mouth is, he rose to the occasion by shooting 8 out of 10 from beyond the arc in an impromptu shooting contest during an interview with Gillie Da King and Wallo on the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast.
I’m one of the best shooters, even still, to this day. If I was in the one of 450, I’d be at the top! Guys like me, Steph, Klay, … if you just talking shooting, this is the class, I’m in.Rich Paul to Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay

His performance shocked viewers on the internet, but as much as he backed up his talk, he still maintains his reputation as an astute negotiator. This was evident when it was reported that he had blocked a potential team-up between Steph Curry and LeBron James, as well as in how he handled Bronny James’s draft decision.
Rich Paul opens up on how he earned LeBron James’ trust
Everyone knows that Rich Paul is the agent of four-time NBA winner, LeBron James, but most people don’t know the story behind the partnership that has grown to become more than another agent-player relationship. King James started his career with a different agency before he teamed up with Klutch Sports owned by Rich Paul.
In a recent interview on the ‘Million Dollaz Worth of Game’ podcast, Paul shared the story of how their bond began, stating that, initially, James had no real reason to trust him, which led Paul to work hard to build that trust. Before joining Paul’s agency, James was signed with Leon Rose’s Creative Artists Agency, which represented him during his early NBA years.
Trust is built over time… But when it first went down, it was a teaspoon of trust and I had to build on that every step of the way… You can’t skip steps. I didn’t start representing him until my 9th year. Joined the league in ’03. I started representing him in 2012.Rich Paul on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast

Their partnership has grown from strength to strength, with both parties excelling as a formidable duo. For Paul, his agency has flourished; they now represent over 200 athletes across the NBA, WNBA, NFL, and MLB, and reportedly negotiated over $2 billion in deals last year alone.
