Nobody can deny James Gandolfini‘s status as an icon to this date. Besides his fans from the community, his impact was branched out to other sections as well. Recently, the four times NBA MVP LeBron James paid a tribute to the actor on his 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.

LeBron James and James Gandolfini have a peculiar sort of history attached. Gandolfini accepted a project involving the Los Angeles Lakers star while he was on a rejecting spree for all the other huge offers. Although it didn’t work out, James still remembered the legend as he paid him an homage on the actor’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day in his latest Instagram story.

James reposted a post shared by The Complex which had a series of pictures of Gandolfini from his acting career. Beneath the post he wished him 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day and added a GOAT emoji.

Back in 2010, James Gandolfini went down the memory lane to his character from the iconic series, The Sopranos. In a pitch video released back then, he recreated his well received Tony Soprano avatar.

Apparently, the brief but unique pitch was intended to lure LeBron James to the Knicks when he was about to hit free agency for the first time. However, as the events played out, the LA Lakers star took his talents to Miami Heat instead.

While the pitch was made 14 years ago, the video touched the surface of the internet only recently. The clip was also played on an episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out earlier this year. The hosts were left stunned at the American Basketballer’s ultimate decision. Everybody pondered upon the alternate trajectory of James’ basketball career should he have chosen the Knicks.

LeBron James is a bingewatcher for this particular movie

While everybody knows LeBron James’ prowess on the court, his off court preferences are much less known. In a rapid fire round by the NBA TV in 2022, James shed some light on his personal choices. Apparently, the multiple time NBA MVP is a huge fan of the movie, The Godfather.

James admitted that he is a huge fan of The Godfather, both part one and two. Back in 2017, he was also spotted reading the crime novel by Mario Puzo. James stated that being a huge geek of the movie, he had watched the movie adaptation six times.

Besides movies, LeBron James shed some light on his favorite albums and favorite food too. While he took his time mentioning his all-time favorite albums, he sure did not hesitate on the movie question. The first movie came out in 1972 and instantly became a fan favored. To this date, the work is widely recognized and appreciated by the audiences.
