Mark Zuckerberg erects a 2m tall statue of his wife in his garden

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just caused a stir when he ordered a giant statue based on the image of his wife – Priscilla Chan.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently shared on his official Instagram page a photo of his wife standing next to a 2m tall statue of herself in his garden.

In the photo, Priscilla Chan is seen wearing a colored robe, holding a glass of water, and behind her is a giant statue with a face that looks exactly like her. The statue is green with a large silver robe fluttering behind it.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, this statue is the work of New York (USA) sculptor Daniel Arsham, who has collaborated with many brands such as Tiffany and Dior. The CEO of Meta said that he wanted to “bring back the Roman tradition of sculpting his wife”.

The image of the statue received a positive response from Mark Zuckerberg’s followers. In the comment section of the photo, Priscilla Chan wrote: “The more of me the better?” along with a heart emoji.

According to the National Museum of Liverpool (UK), statues played an important role in Roman culture. They were often used to honor and commemorate deceased relatives or to remind people of the importance of family and meaningful connections.

In a 2018 interview with the New Yorker, Mark Zuckerberg shared his passion for ancient Roman history. The Meta CEO studied Latin in high school and idolized Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar. After marrying Priscilla Chan in 2012, the couple traveled to Rome, Italy, for their honeymoon.

This passion is so great that Mark Zuckerberg even named his three daughters after Roman emperors. His eldest daughter, Maxima, was named after Emperor Magnus Maximus. His second daughter, August, was named after Emperor Augustus Caesar. His third daughter, Aurelia, was named after Emperor Marcus Aurelius – the founder of the Golden Age of the Roman Empire.

Notably, Mark Zuckerberg did not post this photo on Facebook, but only on Instagram, although the Meta CEO recently posted a video of himself surfing in a tuxedo on Facebook.
