The engaging contest at Progressive Field on Saturday had fans on the edge of their seats, and Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway was among those in attendance.
The Academy Award winner shared a clip on TikTok, highlighting her roller coaster emotional ride during the intense final moments of the game. She was following the game while waiting for her flight to take off from Shanghai airport.
“When it’s the bottom of the tenth, your team just pulled ahead, and you are on the tarmac in Shanghai waiting to take off,” Hathaway captioned the early part of the clip.
While she was anxious for the game to finish when the Yankees took the lead in the tenth, Hathaway celebrated the team’s win and progress to the World Series by grooving to Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind.

The New York Yankees will be up against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Fall Classic, chasing a first World Series title since 2009. This will be the two teams’ 12th meeting in the marquee clash, with the Yankees leading 9-2.
