Francoise Bettencourt Meyers – the richest female billionaire in the world – does not flaunt her brand, loyal to blazers and scarves.

As announced by Forbes on April 4, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers owns a fortune of 80.5 billion USD, ranks first in the group of female billionaires and 11th in the list of the world’s richest billionaires in 2023.

Bettencourt Meyers was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 1953 in France, the grandson of the founder of L’Oréal – Eugène Schueller – and a member of the Board of Directors of the company since 1997. After her mother – Liliane Bettencourt – passed away in September 2017, Bettencourt Meyers became the heir to a huge fortune and started joining the Forbes billionaires list. 2023 is the third year in a row she holds the title of richest woman in the world, thanks to the cosmetics brand’s stock up 12% in the past 12 months.

Bettencourt Meyers lives a secretive life like her mother, loves to write books. According to Forbes, she has published two books related to the Bible and Greek gods. Instead of going to luxurious parties, she plays the piano for 3-4 hours a day and often hangs around at home, immersed in her own world. According to Tom Sancton, author of The Bettencourt Story, from a young age, she was uncomfortable with the world of the rich.

According to Insider, the billionaire does not care much about beauty or fashion. Bettencourt Meyers follows minimalism, nature, shopping enough. Her wardrobe is mostly dark or blue tones, including blazer, casual pants, suit, flat shoes.

Her usual style when going out is to wear neat clothes and indispensable a scarf around her neck. With each outfit, she mixes a different scarf.

In 2019, she contributed 230 million USD in the restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral.
