DONALD Trump has hit back at Joe Biden’s shock “garbage” comment by riding around in a rubbish truck.

The presidential nominee addressed a crowd of fans and reporters in Wisconsin from inside the sanitation mobile which was branded with US flags and a Trump 2024 banner.

Trump, 78, spoke to the media as he sat in a bright orange high visibility vest from inside the rubbish truck.

The move comes just 24 hours after Biden was caught calling Trump fans “garbage”.

He labelled Biden’s remarks “a disgrace”.

The ex-president then took to the stage at one of his final rallies before November 5, in Green Bay still wearing the high visibility top.

In one of his opening remarks he said: “I want to thank all of our incredible sanitation workers all across America.”

The clever stunt from Trump’s team was aimed at Biden who has been in the spotlight this week for his comments towards millions of US citizens.

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe spoke at a New York City rally at Madison Square Garden where he called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage”.

His words were quickly condemned by some of the public and blasted by Democrats.

Hours later during a Zoom with Voto Latino Biden referred to the remarks as he said: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter’s.

“His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American.”

Many saw the sitting president’s words as harmful to almost half of the American population who are on track to side with Trump at the upcoming elections.

Democrats quickly scrambled to fix bumbling Biden’s gaffe as they attempted to blame the comments on bad grammar.

Biden later put out a statement insisting he meant to blast Hinchcliffe’s “hateful rhetoric” against Puerto Rico as “garbage”.

Kamala Harris condemned Biden’s contentious remarks as she said: “I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for.

“I will be a president for all Americans whether you vote for me or not.”

Trump was also quick to speak on the remarks when he first heard about them as he was speaking at a rally of his own.

He was joined by Florida Senator Marco Rubio who informed him and fans of Biden’s words.

Rubio said: “I wasn’t going to say anything, but I have breaking news for you, Mr. President, you may not have heard this.

In a shocking move, Trump called on his supporters to forgive his former political rival.

But he also made sure to use the moment to rile up and remind his fans about past comments from Hillary Clinton about them in 2016.

“Remember Hillary? She said deplorable, and then she said irredeemable right but she said deplorable, that didn’t work out,” Trump said.

“Garbage I think is worse right?

“But he doesn’t know. You have to please forgive him.”

There are now just six days to go until the US election with voters and onlookers eager to see who will come out on top.

Currently, most polls show Trump and Kamala Harris are neck and neck heading into November 5.

There is a difference of just 1 per cent between the two candidates in many polls such as the one currently being reported by The New York Times.

Harris has a national polling average of 49 per cent while Trump is close behind at 48 per cent.

With polls as close as this, Americans will likely face a nail-biting wait to see who will be their next leader.
