In a recent radio interview, Kim Kardashian shared the funny moment when her first daughter – North West (5 years old) – asked her mother why she was famous.
Without a doubt, in the international showbiz world today, Kim Kardashian is one of the most prominent figures with constant mentions on entertainment news sites. However, Kim’s eldest daughter did not understand why her mother was so famous, so she asked her mother.
The 37-year-old reality TV star was not “fazed” by her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥’s question and simply explained: “We have a TV show, honey, we are famous because we appear on TV.” Hearing that explanation, little North West immediately seemed “enlightened” and did not ask any more questions.
Currently, Kim and her husband – rapper Kanye West (41 years old) have three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren together, including daughter North (5 years old), son Saint (2 years old) and daughter Chicago (6 months old). Little North has been dressed in expensive designer clothes since she was little and has appeared with her mother in several fashion advertisements.
The MC tried to “probe” how much money North was making now that she had started participating in some advertising activities: “Does North make as much money as adults who work? The money she makes herself?” In response, Kim tactfully replied: “North is pretty good.”
Recently, when appearing on the TV show “This Morning” (UK), Kim said that although she is famous in the entertainment industry, everything in her family happens slowly and Kim is just like any other normal mother.
A typical day for Kim, when she doesn’t have to go out and doesn’t have any filming schedules, goes like this: “When I’m at home, I don’t feel like a celebrity at all. The kids don’t know anything about what’s going on outside. So I don’t really feel like a celebrity when I’m at home.
“I wake up early, around 6am. I work out before the kids wake up, then I have breakfast with my husband and kids. I try to have them have meals at home, try to keep things as normal as possible. Then I do my work.
“I have my own office. On the table are about 15 perfume samples that I am testing for production. Then there are designs for a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s fashion line. Another 200 fabric samples for a swimwear line that I am planning. 300 cosmetic samples for a future business project…
“In between, I might take my son to music class, my daughter to horseback riding class, or I might have a stylist come over to take measurements and brainstorm ideas for future outfits.”
Talking about being judged as famous for… scandals, not having real talent, Kim responded: “I used to be brave enough to say: I like being underestimated. But now when I hear someone say that my family has no talent, and we have been doing a very popular show for 10 years, I just think: They should have respected women a little bit.
“I am a talentless person if I don’t know how to do anything, but what about my current illustrious career? I often laugh in such tones now, when I appeared on the cover of the prestigious financial magazine Forbes, I joked: Not bad for a talentless girl.
“I don’t mind being underestimated because it motivates me. But sometimes, I also feel like people should give me some credit. You can say a lot of things about me, but you can’t say I don’t work. I may not sing, dance, or act, but I’m not lazy.”
