Gilbert Arenas reveals the date when LeBron James will retire and the reason why he will do so

The former point guard, who is very popular with his podcast ‘Gil’s Arena’, expresses with good reason the future that the Lakers star could have

While everyone in the NBA world is speculating on when LeBron James will retire from professional activity, Gilberto Arena used his popular podcast ‘Gil’s Arena’ to express his thoughts on the ‘run run’ that exists in all sectors close to the Los Angeles Lakers about the future of their popular star.

The 39-year-old Los Angeles Lakers forward is what marks that many basketball specialists throw their premises about what will be the expiration date that the player will put, especially after fulfilling the great desire to play professionally with his son Bronny in the Los Angeles team.

Despite the fact that he is still at a superlative level physically, LeBron will have in mind a retirement from professional activity in the most decorous way possible, as his sporting career has always been.

While many analysts believe that his continuity, beyond playing alongside his son, is the mere statistical gamble he has in order to fatten his figures so that no one can surpass him and he will be for many years the best in certain statistical aspects.

What is true is that if LeBron manages to get his Lakers into the next playoffs, they currently have a 9-4 record, his fifth MVP would be very close to being back in his hands.

Gilberto Arena was the one who distanced himself from all those sporting hypotheses about the future of LeBron James and gave a totally different view, far removed from his commitments to the Lakers: the player’s commitment to his family.

“He leaving next year… In 2026 he will be gone from here. Look at him, what else is he proving here? There is nothing to prove… Today, he has something that I never saw coming. No player saw it coming: playing with his son. It’s the first time in his career that he can be with his son 365 days a year,” said Gilbert Arena on his podcast.

This statement would have to be qualified with a fact that might not so clearly validate the words of the former point guard, as Bronny, for the moment, will not travel with the team to play games away from the Crypto.com Arena.

If the Los Angeles Lakers do end up drafting Bronny James, the words from the ‘Gil’s Arena’ podcast will have a pure realism and we could be looking at a tentative date for the NBA star’s retirement.
