Khloe Kardashian shares relatable reason why she missed her family’s famed Christmas Eve bash

Khloe Kardashian was unable to attend her family’s annual Christmas Eve gathering, as she tended to her ailing 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

The reality star, 40, posted a series of clips Thursday to Instagram Stories wishing her 305 million followers a merry Christmas and explaining how she spent the holiday.

The Los Angeles native is mother to daughter True, six, and son Tatum, two, with her ex-boyfriend, Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson, 33.

‘It was a great one for sure – I just love holidays and Christmas – but different,’ the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said as she was exercising in a black hoodie.

Khloe, who is the youngest of the three Kardashian sisters, explained, ‘I didn’t get to make it to the Christmas Eve party, which was a bummer, but it wasn’t really a party this year – it was just us hanging out at Kendall’s house.

‘But still, I miss being with my family, but Tatum was super-sick the weekend before, but now he’s perfect and great – he was great for Christmas Eve and all of that.’

Khloe said that ‘True has had a 105 fever … but now, she’s just starting to feel better,’ adding she felt it was ‘really scary’ and ‘horrible’ to see her daughter ailing.

Khloe said she was able to take her kids to her mom Kris Jenner’s neighboring home, where True rested up.

‘Yesterday, we still all hung out at my mom’s, she was sleeping in another room while I was cooking breakfast and all that because we still wanted to be around the Christmas spirit,’ Khloe said.

Khloe said that she was giving True her ‘Santa toys’ as she was in better spirits.

‘Poor thing … that’s when you know your kid is sick, when Santa toys don’t even excite them,’ Khloe said. ‘Poor, poor thing but I’m so happy she’s feeling better.’

Khloe said she ‘just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas’ and ‘wasn’t really able to do so yesterday’ as she ‘was quite busy with True and then wanting to be present in the moment with everyone.’

Khloe wrapped up in saying, ‘I love you guys and I hope you have a beautiful, beautiful time’ in the year’s final week.

She described the year’s last week as ‘that slow time of the year when you can stay in your pajamas and it doesn’t matter.’

Khloe was seen in an Instagram Stories post Wednesday in which she documented her time cooking while sipping from a champagne glass.

Khloe donned a headband with a dark gray top with a flannel around her waist as she used a spatula.

She referenced her younger brother Rob Kardashian, 37, and nephew Mason Disick, 15, as the family played the trendy game Boxbollen.

‘Cooking for the family, drinking for myself and playing Boxbollen for Mason – Rob, you want to play Boxbollen?’ she said.
