Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have become parents. The couple announced the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of their first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 on social media: “We are so happy to confirm that we have welcomed a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 boy via surrogacy. We ask that our privacy be respected during this special time as we focus on our family,” they wrote on Instagram, sharing the statement on their respective pages and tagging each other, without adding any further details.

Priyanka had declared her desire to expand her family

Chopra, 39, who starred in The Matrix Resurrection as the mysterious Sati, one of the trilogy’s key characters, recently spoke about her desire to have 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, telling Vanity Fair , “They’re one of our top wishes for the future.” She added that both she and husband Jonas, 29 — who is fresh off a tour with his band, the Jonas Brothers — were ready for the change of pace that a new 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 would bring. And their first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 arrived in January, nearly three years after the couple’s lavish Hindu wedding in December 2018 at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India.
