Recently, inquisitive individuals have flocked to the shoreline of Muriwai, Auckland, New Zealand, to see the bizarre, alien-like creature.

A gigantic alien-like monster coated in hundreds of barnacles has just washed ashore on the New Zealand shoreline.

Melissa Doubleday, a resident of Auckland, said that while strolling down the Muriwai beach road, she observed a large monster standing on the coast.

Curious to see if anyone knew what the odd creature was, she asked on a Facebook group: “I was driving and came across this. Does anyone know what it is?”.

Much speculation has been made about a Maori canoe, a monster from the 1980s TV show “Under the mountain”, a ship’s hull, artwork, a C aribbean sea cow, a beautiful whale even… an alien!

With actuality, it resembles a big log covered in barnacles. However, several intriguing hypotheses continue to be proposed to enhance the tale.

People are reminded of the New Zealand coastline after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake forced the sea floor to rise 2 meters and expose the bottom layer.
