Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are guilty as sin when it comes to manifesting.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently gave the “Lavender Haze” singer’s Eras Tour choreography some credit for his NFL team successfully making it to the 2025 Super Bowl, where they’ll face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans’ Mercedes Dome on Feb. 9.
“We both love to manifest things,” he said during a Feb. 3 press conference in New Orleans, “and you can’t say it’s not real, because we’re here, right? Whatever she was doing, I’m sure it helped.”
He added of Taylor’s stunt, “For me not being able to be here supporting her during those weeks, it made me feel like I was there.”
As for exactly what moves Taylor did to manifest the Chiefs’ path to victory? During Taylor’s Eras Tour New Orleans stops in October—also held at the Mercedes Dome—she altered the choreography of her song “Midnight Rain” to include a mimed football pass and touchdown signal while singing the lyrics, “He never thinks of me / except when I’m on TV.”
And since those performances, fans have theorized that the alterations made an impact. As one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “taylor swift just did travis kelce’s first down signal on stage and then sealed it with a 3-peat finger kiss send-off to manifest another superbowl win like you simply cannot make this s–t up.”
Another posted, “reminder taylor did all this in nola where the superbowl is being played.”
The media day wasn’t the first time that Travis—who also shared that Taylor’s work ethic is inspiring him to “match that energy” during the big game—has focused on manifesting his dreams. After the Chiefs’ clinched their Super Bowl berth Jan. 26 with a win over the Buffalo Bills, he told his mom Donna Kelce about his plans to go all the way.
“I’m trying to win a third one, mom,” he said, referencing the historic threepeat his team could pull off with a victory. “I’m doing anything I possibly can. I’ll run through a wall.”

And while manifesting has certainly come into play with Travis’ success on the field, it’s not the only arena that has benefitted from the practice. In fact, Travis shared his hope to get to know Taylor during a July 2023 episode of his New Heights podcast, which she later noted spurned their love story.
“Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Taylor told TIME in December 2023. “We started hanging out right after that.”
