34 Cast Members from ‘The Cosby Show’ Have Passed Away

Ethel Ayer, known for her elegance as Claire Huxtable’s mother, Carrie Hanks, passed away in 2018 at 88, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and grace.

Michelle Thomas, who played Justine Phillips, Theo’s girlfriend, gained fame for her sweet demeanor but succumbed to stomach cancer in 1998 at just 30 years old. Earl Heyman, the beloved Russell Huxtable, known for his strong family values, passed away in 2017 at the age of 91, while Ron Foster, who portrayed Herb Temple, left us in 2015 at 85.

The contributions of actors like Rosco Lee Brown, who played Dr. Barnabas Foster, and Elaine Stritch as Mrs. McGee, were significant in portraying the diversity and richness of the Huxtable family’s world. Both left us with fond memories, Brown in 2007 at 84 and Stritch in 2014 at 89.
