Scottie Scheffler Takes Hilarious Jab at PGA Tour Pro’s Character Days After Making Him Feel ‘Rubbish’

Feeling humbled at the hands of the world’s No. 1 golfer doesn’t sound too bad, and one PGA Tour pro certainly experienced this after playing with Scottie Scheffler“After like seven, like, I feel so poor… I feel like rubbish. I feel like I’m not on the PGA Tour, like, God versus like way bottom,” said Si Woo Kim, the golfer who went from confident to humbled in seven holes, courtesy of Scheffler’s incredible win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, which tied the PGA Tour 72-hole scoring record and marked his 14th career win. And if there were some shreds of confidence left in Kim after witnessing the golfer’s greatness, Scheffler’s latest comments might just be the final nail in the coffin.

In the latest Instagram post of Golf on CBS, Scheffler was asked how excited he was upon learning Si Woo Kim would be his group member in round 3, and he responded with a dash of humor, “Oh, it’s Si Woo? I didn’t even look. Yeah, I didn’t look”, taking a lighthearted jab and suggesting that he wasn’t particularly thrilled or surprised about the pairing.

But this time, Kim showed what he was made of as he made history once again. Just like last year at the 2024 Open Championship, where he aced the 238-yard par-3 17th hole at Royal Troon, Kim repeated the feat at the 2025 PGA Championship. On Friday, he hit a 252-yard hole-in-one at the par-3 6th hole at Quail Hollow Club, breaking his own record for the longest hole-in-one in major history.

With a 5-wood, Kim executed a beautiful fade shot that landed, bounced, and rolled into the cup, prompting him to toss his club in the air and celebrate wildly. This achievement marks a remarkable streak for Kim, who now boasts six aces in PGA Tour play since 2016 and becomes the first player since Scott Hoch in 2001-2002 to record holes-in-one in back-to-back major seasons.

Kim is currently tied for the 12th position. Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler leads the charge with a score of 10 under par, and yet, Kim is approaching the game with nothing but patience and a drive to do his best.

Si Woo Kim is trying to ‘have fun’ as  Quail Hollow heats up

Heading into the final round, Si Woo Kim is focused on reeling in Scottie Scheffler, acknowledging it’s a big challenge. Kim’s approach? Keep playing good golf and having fun. “I’m just going to… just have one more round. Just try to have fun and then try to go low as I can tomorrow,” he said, emphasizing his intent to enjoy the experience while pushing his limits. Kim’s confidence in his recent performances, having played well in the last three rounds. He’s now looking to build on that momentum and make a strong push for the top spot.

Playing alongside Scheffler has been enjoyable for Kim, who appreciates the energy of the crowd. “It’s good and always fun playing with Scottie,” he said. “It was fun to have a lot of crowd out there. So it was just a fun round, and then a little disappointed, the last hole. But yeah, it was a great round and fun with Scottie, too.” Despite a disappointing bogey on the last hole, Kim’s positivity and focus on the final round suggest he’s ready to give it his all and hopefully try and finish in the top 5.
