This Drone Show Not Only Outshone July 4th Fireworks, But Broke A World Record!

When it comes to celebrating July 4th, fireworks may have just become a thing of the past! Sky Elements Drone Shows blew audiences away with their incredible 10-minute light show in Texas. Using 1,002 LED-equipped drones, the company created a flawless sequence of larger-than-life images in the night sky. Throughout the spectacle, onlookers got to see a giant eagle carrying an American flag, an astronaut landing on the moon, and more!

The mesmerizing display made history in a number of ways. First and foremost, it broke the Guinness World Record for the “largest aerial sentence formed by multirotor/drones,” according to Sky Elements on YouTube.

Second, the company predicts that the success of their displays could change the way we approach outdoor celebrations forever. Since drone shows can be controlled in a way that fireworks can’t, they have the potential to yield way more impressive visuals. Plus, they’re more environmentally friendly!
