LeBron James Shared A Poster From Sports Illustrated Calling Him The GOAT When He Was Just 20 Years Old

No player had as many expectations placed on him before even entering the league as much as LeBron James.

James was the most hyped prospect to enter the NBA in history and was considered to be the future legend of the game and one of the greatest players of all time. But the expectations weren’t just there before he entered the league.

LeBron James recently shared a picture of a poster from Sports Illustrated, where the magazine put a young, 20-year-old LeBron James on their cover, and asked whether he was already the best player ever. Even James noted how incredible it was that they were asking these questions about him.

“At age 20 though, they asked this?”

Not only did LeBron James live up to expectations, but he surpassed them. James immediately became a superstar in the league and would go on to dominate the NBA like no other player. James is one of the rare players that was able to surpass the high expectations placed on him as he entered the league.

LeBron James Will Be Remembered Forever

LeBron James is considered by many to be one of the greatest players of all time. James has won 4 NBA championships in his career, along with 4 MVP trophies, and several All-Star selections. For James, his greatness has only been elevated by his longevity. James has been playing at the highest level for his entire career, even into his late 30s.

James is entering his 21st season later this year and is still considered one of the best players in the NBA despite turning 39 this year. No player has played at the level that LeBron James is playing at, especially at this age. Last year, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to reach the Western Conference Finals again this year, after getting swept by NBA champions Denver Nuggets. Stephen A. Smith believes the Lakers are good enough to reach the Western Conference Finals once again. But how the Lakers rebound remains to be seen.
